US says disappointed with Russia not raising gas investment
WASHINGTON, Oct 29 (PRIME) -- The U.S. is disappointed with Russia not raising investment in gas production to offer Europe additional gas, when the need emerged, U.S. Energy Security Department representative Amos Hochstein said late on Thursday.
He added that responsibility to balance fuel markets lies with the producers, and that the fact that a pledge by Russian President Vladimir Putin to raise supplies to the European storages reduced prices worldwide signals that this could have been done much earlier.
